Hyde Park Mid-century Makeover
Full interior rehab of a mid-century modern townhouse near the University of Chicago campus.
The somewhat dark and drab interior of this home was brightened by removing select interior walls to open the stacked spaces up to one another. Crisp, white-painted walls, trim and cabinetry serve as a backdrop to the lush colors and textures of the mid-century modern art glass, paintings and furnishings. Many of the vintage furnishings and light fixtures were sourced locally in Chicago and refurbished, while much of the art and glass was found in antique shops around the midwest and in California.
